About Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art

The Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art was dedicated in 1992 and offers an exhibition program focusing on recent and historic art of California and the United States. It contains three galleries with approximately 3,000 square feet of exhibition space on two floors. Previous exhibitions have featured the work of such artists as Dale Chihuly, Jim Dine, Sam Francis, Claes Oldenburg, Agnes Pelton, and Wayne Thiebaud. The Weisman Museum is located on the main Malibu campus of Pepperdine University, an educational institution dedicated to strengthening lives for purpose, service, and leadership.
