The 2nd City Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art gallery + performance space that was incorporated on January 1,2000. We are dedicated to supporting and promoting California artists, their work and art education. Ourmission is to expose the public to the wealth of creativity that exists in California. Our exhibitions are usuallythematic and explore topics, from each artists’ unique perspective, that impact or interest the community as awhole. The gallery provides a welcoming space where the public can come together to learn about the variouscultures, traditions, lifestyles and philosophies that we enjoy here in California. Our arts educational outreach isoffered to teenagers living in Foster Care group homes. In keeping with the gallery’s philosophy that art should beavailable to everyone, admission is free.
